[g.02] Alignments
Lawful Good - Is a person with a high center or morals and a want and desire to follow the laws of their societies, if the society they follow is a good one. They have a love for life and would willingly sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the world or to just simply help another.
Neutral Good - Is a person who wishes to do good without the command or pressures from their societies. They do not need command to do good but neither will they follow the command to do evil upon another ever. They would willingly sacrifice themselves for another but more for love than simply selflessness.
Chaotic Good - Is a person who does good with all things they do, in or outside of a society. They are sometimes reckless and quick to jump but their hearts are pure. They would fight off their own people to do the right thing if it came down to it. They rely on their own strong morals, those in their hearts rather than the ones commanded to them from other people or their societies.
Lawful Neutral - Is a person who follows the laws of the land but does so only out of duty. This person is generally the most blank of people, having no opinion on the matters at hand but rather does what they're told to do. They will kill if needed, save if commanded and fight only if it is necessary. Their society means much to them, but little else can motivate this person.
True Neutral - Is a person who is equal in all commands, may even revere both views of the good and the evil for their minds and hearts but share neither opinions as their own. They do not feel the need to hurt another, even condemning the hurting of an innocent, but they are the last to jump in to someone's defense. There is much selfishness in the person who stands in the middle ground though sometimes much wisdom.
Chaotic Neutral - Is a person who is wild at heart. They do not follow the lead or command of their people or societies but do as they please. They are willing to do great deeds for either good or for evil, mostly doing either as a sense of use. A person with this alignment will do almost anything to better themselves and generally have no attachment to a place however may have a great connection to other people.
Lawful Evil - Is a person who is evil at heart and does the will of their evil society with pleasure. They are most often cunning and believe in the morals their people have raised them with. Often times, one of this alignment will become top teirs of their society and be the first to abuse, torture or kill for the cause.
Neutral Evil - Is a person who has indifference to the words of others. They enjoy to harm others, both body and soul and are often cunning and thoughtful of their actions. These people are also often wary of anything said by another, trusting no one aside themselves. There are cases however that this person can become infatuated with another, willing to do anything for this person to have them though the word associated with them is not love. Love is hard for those of Evil nature.
Chaotic Evil - Is a person who is most selfish of all alignments. They love to harm but do so more often than not without purpose and just for the reason to harm someone. They delight in destruction, whether its an enemy or an ally and are untamable people with a heart as black as ebony. Very often, these people travel and live outside any formed societies, preferring to live alone or are cast out from their societies for their behaviors. Others will still manage to live within their societies but are no more than banes (even to the evil societies) for their tendencies are destructive to themselves, all others and any place.
[g.03] Metals:
There are many metals in the world of Terristra, but only a known few that can be made into armors and weapons and jewelry. (Numbered from 1 to 12. 1 being the strongest, 12 being the weakest)
Adamantium - (4)Deep red colored metal that has high malleability when superheated and when cooled becomes very strong and moderately heavy. It is found sparsely in all areas of Terrastra but must be mined from below the surface. Its usually hidden within other formations and can be extremely difficult to locate. This metal is highly coveted and fetches a high price.
Ambra - (6) Is an orangy-amber colored metal. It is the heaviest of all metals so rarely used for armor or weapons outside the dragons and ogres but is much stronger than steel or silver. It can be made into jewelry or inlays but wearing a piece of Ambra jewelry is tiring. Found only in the mountains of Draconia.
Bronze - (9) A strong metal. Can be made into chain, plate or weapons and has a golden-copper hue to it and is very heavy.
Byral aka Witch Teeth - (1) Byral is the strongest and most coveted of metals in Terrastra if found in its purest of forms. Pure Byral is solid black with what looks like white marbling through it and is devilishly hard to smith. It is desired by all races as its properties include: light weight, extreme strength, shimmery black look, and immense rarity. Aside its common name 'Witch Teeth', given to the metal because it is formed like small, sharp points from cave crevices, making them look like teeth, the metals is sometimes given by the gods as gifts to their chosen ones.
Cobalt - (5) Is a very rare metal. It is very strong and rather heavy. Cobalt is dark silvery blue and makes wonderfully strong armor and weapons. Anything made into cobalt is very expensive.
Gold - (12) A soft metal that is not very effective made into armor or weapons but can used for show purposes in either case. Gold is also good for jewelry and inlays and is very valuable.
Iron - (10) One of the weakest of metals. Can be made into chain or plate armor or weaker weapons and has a dull silvery hue but it usually tarnished and unfinished.
Jadice - (4) Is a rigid metal. It is hard to work but once put into an armor or weapon shape, it is very solid. It has a natural green glow to it and found naturally inside of large boulders. It can be made into jewelry or inlays though it takes a mastery of blacksmithing to work this metal.
Ladamine - (2) A glittery white metal that is light and emmensely durable. Found only in the dragon territories. While the metal is in abundance in that area, the dragons don't often share it as they do not share treasure.
Mithril - (3) Is the lightest of all metals and 3rd to the strongest. It has a light glow to it and is a mix between gold and silver in tone. Mithril is only found in the dwarven territories and though they have it in massive abundance there, they restrict selling as to drive up the demand and prices making it very expensive.
Platinum - (11) A soft, silvery white metal. It has a high value and is used as the most expensive coin in the realms.
Silver - (7) Is a strong metal that is very shiny and pale in color, much like steel but with a higher quality. Pure silver is very good for armors and weapons. It is also very valuable and like gold can be made into jewery or inlays and fetches a high price.
Steel - (8) A strong metal. Can be made into chain or plate armor or weapons and has a slightly shiny silvery look to it.
Titanium - (3) A metal with the matching strength of Mithril. Titanium is a dark gray hue and has a smooth matte finish. The metal is hard to work and sets viciously hard. This metal is mined from deep, deep caves in Hachmeid.
[g.04] Minerals & Gemstones:
There are many minerals and gemstones throughout the world of Terrastra. (Numbered by value. 1 being the most rare or expensive and 10 being the least rare and most inexpensive.)
Amethyst (3) - A clear, light purple gem that can be harvested in deep caves along the southern mountains.
Bloodstone Marble (4) - Matte finish, blood red and white marble. It is harvested from the shallow caves in the icy northern mountains of Terrastra.
Blue Topaz (1) - Is a extremely rare type of topaz that forms light blue instead of the usual yellow. There is only one known mine located in Nerian, miles below the planet's surface.
Diamond (1) - A fully clear, colorless gem that is as hard and dense as Byral. They can be found and harvested in deep caves near Nerian or in Hachmeid.
Emerald (2) - Translucent green gem found in deep mines around areas with warmer climates, due to location or local volcanoes. Used in alchemy for many purposes and often times found in weaponry, armor and jewelry.
False Ivory (9) - A mineral that forms in stalactites and takes on the appearance and shape of an animal tusk. False Ivory can be sold in place of ivory at a smaller cost.
Feldspar [moonstone] (8) - A rough formed mineral with a hazy white color. It can be harvested in shallow caves.
Ivory (5) - Can be harvested from certain animals' tusks.
Marble (5) - A heavy, dense mineral that forms in thick rockbeds in the caves and mountains of Hachmeid, Nerian, Rythorn, Felwyn and Draconia.
Mikhail (1) - Another sea found gem that forms within a thick bay coral called Norsetri that grows near the Ming islands. The Mikhail is an oval, green gem with hazel and amber colored streaks through it.
Obsidian (8) - A very dense stone with a flat shiny surface. The whole stone is black and can be found in small caves in volcanic regions.
Pearls (2) - A weak, round and shimmery stone that forms in the mouths of oysters. These oysters can be found in the deep ocean waters. The Ashtel are the only race and region with an oyster farm where they raise the shellfish for food and for pearls.
Pyrus (2) - A specialty stone that forms along the inside walls of a volcano. It's said the heat of the magma and the hateful emotions of the nearby demons create the stone. It forms like beads from the wall and can be pulled off easily. The stone is red and orange and against the light looks as though there is fire flickering inside. Aside their great beauty and value, Demons, who are the only species that can harvest them, will swallow these small gems as they react with the acid in their stomachs and gives the demon an euphoric feeling spreading from their middles out to their limbs. It's rumored if the stones are imbibed by people of another race, they will give those people a temporary immunity to heat but it also makes the person more susceptible to demonic possession.
River Ruby (10) - Very small, bead-like red gems that can be found in the bottom of riverbeds. They are not very valuable for there have never been any perfect or flawless gems found before. Searching for these gems however can be good for a fun and enjoyable outing.
Ruby (4) - A clear, red gem that is harvested in shallow caves. There are no large mines known outside of Hachmeid.
Rune Quartz (7) - A dark gray mineral that forms along the insides of deep caves. The Rune Quartz is extremely hard to identify as it looks the same as any other stone around it with just a slight glittery look to it. The stones are used for making Runes and Circle Runes as they hold magikal properties well. Normal stones will work for Runes but never for circle runes and never as well as Rune Quartz will.
Sephiri (2) - A jagged, dark blue gemstone that forms in deep mines in Tirin. Sephiri is rare and difficult to harvest.
Topaz (6) - Is a yellowish, clear gemstone that forms in thick pieces. To be worn or sold this mineral needs to be cut and shaped. Topaz can be harvested in deep mines and caves.
Volcanic Glass (6) - A brittle, red crystal that forms on the inside of volcano walls and usually around the Pyrus beads. These sharp shards can be harvested and used for decoration.
Whitebrick (2) - An extremely rare stone that forms inside of other rocks in deep caves. Whitebrick is the finest stone that can be used for runes and circle runes as they are twice as potent as Rune Quartz and never dull with time. The stone is entirely white and heavy.
[g.05] Wild Beasts:
Some known non-domestic animals in Terrastra. Not included are insects, domestic creatures, mounts, vermin or fish. To find which beasts are edible, head to the meat section.
Aralafan - A very large mammal with a long trunk and tusks, about the size of two elves tall. The Aralafan has plated, metallic-like armor over his trunk, neck, back and legs. It eats both greens and metals, keeping it healthy and its armor strong. Often found in the plains of Felwyn. Herbivore.
Bear, Brown - The most common type of bear in Terrastra. These moderately sized bears are covered in heavy brown fur and they live in almost any forested area. They have nasty tempers and are prone to attack on sight but are no where near as mean as their cousins the Taggerd. Live span of 30 years. Gestation period is 4-5 months and the usual yield of bears is two. Weight is 220 stones for a male, 132 stones for a female. Height is about 3-5 feet at the shoulder.
Bear, Meelo - A smaller ash colored bear with a rounded snout that are nearing extinction due to heavy poaching. These bears have bashful natures and live in great burrows in large forests. They favor small mammals and honey for food and are prone to wander into people territories, getting them killed often. There are tales of some of these bears killing and eating dwarves because the Meelo Bear loves the taste of dwarf meat. Live span 15-20 years. Gestation period of 4-5 months with an average cub yield of 2-3. Male weight 120 stones, female 80 stones. Height at should is 1.5-2 feet. Nearly extinct.
Bear, Taggerd - A mountain dwelling bear that is significantly larger then the normal brown bear and far more moody. They are covered in thick gray and black speckled pelt and have massive claws and jaws making them one of the most deadly breeds of animal in Terrastra. And while these bears spend most their time eating and sleeping when undisturbed, they are easily riled when their territories have been breeched and will make great effort to kill the intruder, even chasing it miles. One of these bears has enough strength in its large jaws to break a tree trunk. The teeth and pelt of the Taggard Bear are highly valuable and sell for a high price. Age range around 30 years. Gestation period of 6-7 months and the females are especially violent during pregnancy. Weight for a male is 500 stones, females around 400 stones. Height is 7-8 feet to the shoulder.
Bump - Yes, A bump. Usually these creatures are docile and harmless, but due to the nature of people to exaggerate, the Bump has been degraded and slanderized over the years. It is a solely hideous beast, with droopy skin and growths all about it and a dumpy rear end. These animals faces appear smooshed, and their eyes are still unlocated, and many remain wary of they have them at all. They live in bogs and marshlands, avoiding natural life and living only on bugs and insects despite their enormous size. A bump may have no children in its life time if it feels its been evil and some say this is why the bumps are becoming slowly extinct. Bumps lives are long and slow, usually remaining in isolation from their parents after only a year of their 65 year long lives. Bumps grow moss from living in swamps and some frogs will make homes on their lumpy grey flesh. Gestation period is 3 years, typically only having a single bumpling in a lifetime. Weight is 2,400 stones or about 2.5 metes. Height is 5.5 feet to 6 feet to the shoulder. There is no set price for a bump as almost no one would purchase one.
Chicken, Rubble - Rubble chickens are chickens that grow wild in volcanic terrain. They eat insects and remains but often eat the small volcanic stones which aid with their digestion. Because its common to see them eating pebbles, they adopted the name rubble chickens because of the number rocks and rubble they consume. Rubble chickens have red and black feathers and slim, tall bodies with long talons and sharp beaks. The meat of the Rubble chicken is somewhat sour in flavor making it a less favored food and their eggs are very sulfuric and hard to digest. The Rubble chicken can live up to ten years. They lay eggs only in places they feel safe and can lay up to 30 eggs at a time. This is a survival technique as not many of the eggs survive the terrain and natural predators. The chick takes 14 days to hatch. General height of a Rubble chicken is 2-3 feet tall and weigh in at about 5-6 lbs.
Cirian - A large bodied cat with the stealth and speed of a youthful fox. These animals have eyes located on the sides of their heads even though they are predators. This permits them 360 degrees of vision like prey animals which they use to their advantage. The Cirian eat meat and bones but enjoy the flesh of immortals more than anything else. The Cirian are mainly found in the northernmost territories, most often in Rythorn. They are often colored in light tans but have dark accents around their feet and eyes. Their ears are short and perked and they have long bushy tails. Gestation period of 3 months and the mating season in spring, birthing in summer. Life range of 15-17 years. Height to shoulder is 2 feet, weight is approximately 72 stones, give or take some.
Deer, Fog - A dark grey deer with thick hide and strong legs. The fog deer has a slight magikal property to it and it gives off a light fog around it when standing somewhere still. If the fog deer stay in a herd, they can cause a thick fog which hides them from predators. Often, these deer live in forests and fields close to large bodies of fresh water. They're 2.5 feet tall from foot to shoulder and weigh in around 56 stones. Mating season is late spring, gestation period of 6 months.
Deer, Forest - Most common type of deer, found all over Terrastra. They're 3-4 feet tall from foot to shoulder and weigh in around 100 stones and are colored dark browns. Most remarkably is their rounded snouts and slightly longer tails. Mating season is early spring, gestation period of 7 months.
Digel - A small, brendal-hued, furry rodent that lives in dry areas such as deserts and burrows underground for its home. Omnivore. Digels often stand on their backlegs and are measured in height that way. They have long snouts, round ears and long tails with black fur on them. The male is marked by a dark tuft of fur on the top of the head. Digels mate for life. Once they pick a partner they only mate with that other one. Even after one dies, the other will not take a new mate. The female carries for 25 days before birthing and can have a little of up to 6 kits. A full grown digel is about 1 stone in weight and on its backlegs is about 1 foot in height.
Fl'Aps - An omnivore, the Fl'Ap is a large bird type creature with a massively large head compared to its comically tiny wings. These hand sized wings on their backs beat furiously when the Fl'Ap is annoyed or threatened and aid it not at all in its tireless attempt to fly. Fl'Aps were first spoted by the gnomes, and thus named because when first encountered the Fl'Aps refused to cease their noise until at least 3 miles of distance had been made to escape them. Fl'Aps are not an overly nice beast, but are known to simply irritate easily, though never taking actions against their attackers. Fl'Aps migrate during mating season, which is early spring. All Fl'Aps will head toward the eastern coast, even walking up to 6 months to get there. Once there, all the birds go into mating frenzies and laying hundreds of eggs in the sand. From there, the Fl'Aps leave their eggs there to hatch on their own and the new chicks to survive. The majority of Fl'Ap chicks and eggs are eaten by predators before they get a chance at life. The survival rate of the new chicks is 1/8 of the original laid eggs. Fl'Aps live around 15 years. They're heavy without an exact approximation and are about 2 - 2.5 feet tall.
Gater - Long snouted, vicious reptiles that live in the swamps of Turmuck. Carnivore. A gater can reach the length of 12 feet and weigh in at about 320 stones. Many gaters lay eggs at the bottom of deep swamps. Once hatched, the young gaters will stay close to their mother. A gater can live up to 15 years.
Lunapins - Turtles which come out only in the light of the moon. Their shells reflect the moonlight and almost make them look like small fragments of the moon on Terra itself. Moderately sized with long lanky limbs. Found in Lilic Lake in Bein'la. The usual life expectancy of a Lunapin is 100-120 years. Since they are only native to Bein'la, they are proclaimed to be the property of the Eldar and are rarely, if ever, exported. The usual Lunapin is 4 stones and has up to a dozen eggs in its lifetime.
Magnus Tortoise - Enlarged tortoises who's life-span extend to well over 400 years, known for their large shells of glistening decor. Nearly went extinct during early years when poachers killed them for their half-shell which then was made into a shield. Long since nobles have collected the shells as trophies in reminder of the value they once held. Often feeds on small mammals or rodents. The Magnus tortoises live in the warmer areas of Terrastra and some on the Ming islands. A single magnus tortoise can cost up to a Terram.
Mallo - The Mallo is a small, black bird native to warmer areas. The song of a mallo is known to be shrill and almost painful to the ears. Omnivore.
Phoenix, Blue - The Blue phoenix is a magikal bird. It is nearly the length of a full grown Eldar and it's wingspan is almost 3x times that amount. It is very rarely seen and glows a blue tone that looks like fire. They're found in the mountains of Bein'lä.
Rabbit, Champan - Living in warrens that stretch at least one mile underground. These rabbits are hardly scene above the ground but have wonderful pelts and soft meats. These rabbits are known as a pests besides because of their eating habits; stealing vegetables from below where the roots are and do so without having to raise their heads. These rabbits are highly suspicious and come above only when tempted by the scent of sweet wines.
Rabbit, Grunner - It is widely thought that the Grunner is a demon rabbit because of its dark and shabby appearance and by the place it lives, but this is untrue. The Grunner rabbit is no more a demon than any other breed of rabbit. The small animal lives amongst the ash and rocks of Luin and because of rough living terrain, the creature often loses much fur and grows scabs from its multiple burns and cuts. It's long and wirey appearance doesn't help its cause either.
Shim - Wild cats with the coloring of tawny and gold. The Shim have traveled all across the land in packs and are a common predator to all races.
Situquiere - Is a dangerous bird of prey. The males of this species are covered in every color under the rainbow and use them to attract females all times of the year. The females are always a dim violet hue and far less noticeable. The Situquiere has a wingspan of 3 to 5 feet, and uses it's fierce talons and beak to catch and crush it's prey, mainly small mammals and sometimes the occasional snake or other reptile.
Skiev - A furry biped with a long, gripping tail that lives at the tops of tall tress. The Skiev is known for its elongated snout and ribbed, sticky tongue it uses to reach the top leaves of trees. The tip of the tongue has a strange scoop shape that can used for collecting many leaves at a time. Along with its odd shapes, the Skiev has highly advanced senses and can tell when a storm is coming and will disappear into hiding days before the rain comes but often takes dozens and dozens of leaves with it for snacking. Thus the saying goes when it starts to rain. "Better hide like a Skiev with a leaf."
Toad, Og - A hobble native toad with brown skin and yellow bumps. It was recently found that the Og toad, when boiled in salt water, will create a shimmery liquid when swallowed will cause intense hallucinations.
Vilifor - (vill-eh-for) Known only to marshes, these moderately sized beasts can smell scents of its prey up to 2 miles away. Once in its range you must take extra care as these beasts hunt in small packs and are exceptionally territorial. Low to the ground, with sharp teeth and short scrappy hair, these animals are deprived of sight and use their sense of smell to compensate. Carnivore.
Whierian - Large birds that steal the hatchlings of other creature that has hatched young. It's even been said a Whierian will steal a dragon egg if it can. These birds originated in Meiaja and grew larger and more predatory as they migrated. Some of these birds have reached the size of a first spawned dragon.
Wolf, Bobo - The Bobo are pigmy wolves that thrive in the Dorne Forest. But despite their sizes, these sly and foul tempered beasts are known to venture into Tirin and Hobble and catch a human child or a hobbit for food. Often times the wolves won't even kill their prey before beginning to feed on it. Bobo wolves are a coppery-brown coat (almost like a fox) but have white patches under their eyes and at the tips of their ears and have pink noses.
Wolf, Grumble - A rather slim variety of wolf native to the Ming Mainland and Seriende. They are known for their glossy black coats and almost starving looking slim bodied. The grumble wolf got its name from the Mi'firel who noticed their gravely growls and decided the wolves sounded like they were grumbling.
[g.06] Domestic Creatures:
Some known domestic animals in Terrastra. Not included are insects, non-domestic creatures, mounts, vermin or fish.
Cattle, Herd - The main source of meat in Terra, known for its hardy meat and round body. Herd cattle vary in color from browns to blacks, sometimes even white and creams. There are no wild cattle left, only domesticated ones. Cattle is raised by almost all people. Both males and females grow long, upturned horns from either side of the tops of their heads. The males are often called bulls whereas the females are called cows. Expected life span of cattle is 10-15 years. The weight of cattle varies from 800 to 1200 stones and height varies from 4 to 5 feet at the shoulder. Gestation period of a cow is 9 months and they typically have 1 calf per birthing.
Chicken, Pluck - Pluck chickens are normal variety of chicken, bred for its nice personality and easily maneuvered disposition. These chickens are often referred to as Pluckies. Pluck chickens were bred to last in harsh environments so that the farmers can raise them without trouble and cranky attitudes. Pluck chickens are usually white with gray or brown speckles and have round bodies and heads with short beaks and plump orange feet. The life expectancy is 5 - 6 years. The typical chicken, or roster, is no taller than a foot in height and weigh no more than 5 lbs. Pluck chickens are often raised for their meat and eggs. A single female chicken can lay up to 9 eggs a day. It takes 20 days for a chick to hatch from a fertilized egg. This breed of chicken is the most abundant in Terrastra being the top pick for farmers. The typical price of a live Pluckie is 5 centams. One sold dead, for meat if generally 1 centam a piece.
Ox - A kind of cousin to cattle that are used to haul heavy carts or farm equipment. An ix has a massive upper body and shoulders and a slimmer backside. It's said if an ox could stand on its back legs, the weight of its body over it would crush its legs under it.
Pheasant - A squat looking bird with long tail feathers. The pheasant is a beautiful array of browns and greys and oranges and while the colors are earthy, the beauty of the bird is immense.
Pigs, Hoggle - Hoggle pigs are swamp pigs, their hide is the thickest in Terra and know for its great durability. Mostly these animals were raised by tanners, used for armors and heavy padding.
Pigs, Runt - Runt pigs are pigmy style pig, raised for small and succulent portions. They also make terrific pets as they are very clean and passive.
Rabbit, Doral - Doral rabbits are found wild or bred and traditionally are miniature in size. They have dark tones and squished looking little faces and flat noses. Their meat is tough and hearty but good and make for wonderful travel food and trade. The fur can get patchy after maturity so thick, full Doral pelts are highly coveted.
Rabbit, Silver - These rabbits were raised by the money mongering dwarves and named for their pelts that resemble a soft dusting of silver. Their meat is a common food for dwarves who eat these rabbits in numbers which is fine because these rabbits breed twice as fast as other rabbits. And their furs are used for making beautiful cloaks for those of noble standing. These rabbits rarely live wild and are raised only in caves and will not survive elsewhere. Can be found in Nerian as well.
Sheep, Muffletuff - A small fluffy sheep raised mostly by hobbits. This sheep is known well for its miniature size and mass amounts of wool. This type of sheep if not sheered properly would grow enough wool where it will become twice as heavy as the sheep and the sheep becomes nothing more than a blob of white puffy cloud.
Sheep, Shaag - The shaag are a strange variation of sheep, raised and known to roam the hillsides of colder areas. The shaag's wool is marvelous for trading and the most common among the rarer varieties of fabric. These sheep have long tendrils of wool, like sausage curls instead of simply getting puffy.
Sheep, Twigit - Found generally in the higher altitudes, the twigits are known for their extremely long legs and overly coiled horns. This sheep's wool is thin and not good for clothing or cloth though their meat is gamey and edible.
Wolf, Mee'nera - It's hard to categorize these creatures as domestic. They are only bred and kept by the Mornaquenta, but are hardly pets. Wolves bred in the deepest dark of the Black Forest. These beasts were raised to protect the forest from other creatures of those entering the forest without permission. The wolves were bred specifically to be fearsome and foul tempered but are raised to be obedient to their Mornaquenta masters. In truth very little other races could show enough dominance to control one outside the Mornaquenta race. Their skin is thick and leathery and their fur sparse but both are dark as night like the place they live in. A Mee'nera can jump great distances and will not venture from the forest.
Yonik Oxen: Yonik Ox are a singularly normal breed of oxen with a rather tough and useless meat for serving in steaks, but is very common for drying. These rather sizable creatures are mostly docile and ranged by farmers in the Felwyn territory. They live to be herded and have no trouble with it unless they have found particularly tasty grass and don't wish to move. 'A stubborn as an ox' is where this animal comes into play.
[g.07] Vermin:
Some known Vermin in Terrastra. Not included are insects, non-domestic creatures, mounts, domestic creatures or fish.
Cottage Ip - this particular animal is a garden dweller, burrowing through unprotected vegetables to hide from predators while it cores the root vegetables or cabbages. The cottage Ip is a dusty brown color with a pair of sharp incisors to get through the veggies. They also have eyes placed well off on the sides of their heads to see anything around it.
Forest Ip - looking much like its cousin the cottage ip, the forest ip lives mostly near the roots of wild growing fruits and vegetables and are much more violent than the cottage Ip. Any village that imports their vegetables have a high likelihood of getting an infestation of these grey beasties.
Furlow Rat - These rats nest and breed primarily in storage facilities that have boxes of food left to sit for too long. Furlows are small but propagate at great length and it doesn't take long before they begin to populate enough to require abandoning the storage facilities. These animals are highly dangerous because of their fur being much like that of a sloth. These rats don't move far or fast and rarely clean themselves. They are known to grow many fungus and bacteria. Some of the fungus grow in a mossy state, making the rats seem greenish. This moss is most deadly and once matured, will give let off spores that can fly many miles in a breeze.
Mingle Rat - Yes it is often that the Maos of Ming keep a tight ship, but once you get a pregnant mother mingle rat on the ship there is no freeing yourself from these highly brave and encroaching animals. These animals prefer the salty water soaked wood of ships for nurturing their young and for the chances to feast on the fish.
