Rythorn, Territory of the Barbarians
While the summers here may be pleasantly warm and green, the other seasons are a bit harsher. The winter monthes show temperatures below zero when you have traveled far enough north and most lakes and rivers freeze over during this time. The land is comprised of a dense forest, the Dorne Forest, in the southwest. The north of the land is a highly mountainous region where many tribes of Barbarians live. The dock is in the northeast and has accomodations for ships of any size. In the southeast corner of the territory they have the Spinner Woods which go a small way into Hachmeid. The main road leads out of the Dorne Forest and branches out to the different tribes at the "crossroads". The right(southeastern) path from here leads to a small tribe and the Spinner Woods and eventually into Hachmeid and Luin.
1. Shrine of Vuen, God of Happiness is located north of the actual mainland on a small island. The only way to reach it is to swim, although it is very long, or by boat/air. The island has a small dock upon it and otherwise the island is relatively plain. The flat land is green and covered in low grasses while the edges go off to medium cliff edges. In the middle of the land is the shrine, it is small and rather normal. Having no real unique look to it, but to those who are faithful enough, it becomes painfully obvious that it is not in fact a normal shrine or tombstone.
2. Druid Ring, a collection of magikal stones that lay vertical in columns and occasionally have large slabs of rock piled atop them like some form of crude table. They are areas of concentrated magik energy and as such allow Druids to teleport them from anywhere in the world, unless otherwise specified.(These incluse being in non-teleport places with magikal barriers or the Meiaja Island, etc.) Because of how strong the enchantments are that hold the circles in place, a druid is enabled to bring a group of people along with himself. For sizing, the circle often times has a diameter of 25 feet.
3. The Crossroads, an infamous location that has hosted a number of famous duels and other events. Many know it as a travelers stop and most use it as such. A few small buildings; Inns, merchants, a blacksmith, an alchemist, decorate it.
4. Doryth Mountains, Some of the largest mountains in all of Terrastra. They are definitely the most snow covered and frigid. They are treacherous to navigate and even more difficult to survive. Many have traveled to these mountains and never come back, some say great treasure awaits whoever may unfold the mysteries of this land while others would disagree and say only death awaits any who travel to them.
5. Faetorn Village, the most western town in Rythorn, they are just outside of the Dorne Wood and can be reached by followed the northwestern path from the crossroads. It is the second largest village and its people are known for their ferocity. They live like all the other tribes of the land, one ruler who makes decisions and governs them, and his militia beneath him. But unlike some Villages, they are hospitable to guest, until they have proven they deserve otherwise.
6. Mestarine Town, this town is reached by taking the northeastern path from the crossroads and then the first left. It is the largest town in Rythorn and has one of the largest armies in the lands. The entire city is surrounded by a great wall of metal and has one gate that is monitored heavily.
7. Solorash Village, this village has no path leading to or from it. The inhabitants are known to be cannibals, ceremonially, and are not kind to outsiders in any situation. They live in the harshest climates on the planet and have grown strong from it. They are located in the center of the most northern mountains of Rythorn.
8. Lethrastone Town, is a port town. They have an extensive dock that can accomodate any boat size and many fine taverns and inns. The town is moderately sized but very wealthy due to how much traveling happens there. They have very little restriction on who goes or leaves. Aside from the dock, the town can be reach by traveling through Dorne, taking the northeastern path at the crossroads, taking the second left on the path, and ending by taking another left path on the main road.
9. Zantilar Town, is a small farming community that are not friendly to visitors. And while they do not boast a strong militia size, they have warriors who are strong of body and mind with an almost fanatical devotion to their village elder. The only visitors who are accepted here, and happily they are accepted, are the Hobbits. To travel here you can start from Lethrastone(travel back down the main road and take the first left you find.) or by taking the path from the crossroads as if you were going to Lethrastone and then taking the right instead of the second left.
10. Khalira Village, is a moderately sized town that is home to a fine training facility for the local militias of other villags. It is not an area any traveler would be wise to travel to. To get there, travel from the crossroads on the northeastern path and take the first two rights.
11. Shaar Town, is a travelers stop town and has a tough vanguard of Barbarian soldiers who patrol and guard it. They have very little restrictions on who goes or comes here as long as they don't break any local laws and ordinances. To travel here you take the southeastern path from the crossroads.
12. Dorne Forest, the largest and oldest forest on Terrastra. It extends through many lands and is filled with things of great power, both evil and good, and is only recommended to experienced adventurers.
13. Spinner Woods, is a less dense wood in the southeastern corner of the territory that buffers the path to Hachmeid. Has a wide variety of wild animals and flora.
14. Doryth River, starts in the Doryth mountains from their springs and trickles down to the ocean. Mestarine town has tapped into this and has a running water supply for their village.
15. Bolan Outlet, starts inland and runs out to the Bolan Sea. Many large ships have been known to sail up and down this river.
16. Bolan River, starts in Hachmeid and flows north into the Bolan Sea.
17. Galatrial River, runs from the very northern parts of the Luin Mountain range in the unclaimed east and heads north until it merges with the Bolan River in Rythorn.
