Bein'lä, Territory of the Eldar
Bein'lä is a closed territory in the northwestern corner of the main continent. This large island of land was once part of the mainland continent but through magikal means, the founders of the region broke off the land creating an island with mostly cliff edged borders and almost complete isolation from other races.
The land is varied. To the south, the land is warm and lush for the warmer times of the year whereas the north is cold, mountainous and snowy all year. There are four main cities in Bein'lä, all of which are filled with magnificant stone structures and castles and the land surrounding the cities is lush and well tended, filled with gardens and all sorts of well groomed plantlife. Circling the borders of the land are many guardtowers filled with trained sentries. As the territory is a closed one, no peoples from any other race may cross the boundries of the land without written permission from the governing bodies in the main city at Bein'lä's heart.
The land outside the cities is tame. Few preditor or wild beasts live in Bein'lä as all the land is monitored often by its soldiers. There are some dense sections of forest to the northwest and a great lake to the south beside the city of Ilesere.
1. Shrine of Kuberr, God of Justice is stationed near the northwestern edge of the city of Varlona near the middle of the island. The shrine is well guarded and no other person from another race is permitted to visit the shrine unless accompanied by the Lord of Bein'lä and a guard of 60 males.
2. Wizard Teleport Circle, heavily guarded and monitored. Only Wizards and Magi who can come through this one have to be registered with the Eldar before so. If someone who is unregistered and attempts to come through, their magical signature is rejected and they are killed.
3. City of Varlona, the main city of Bein'lä and their most beloved heart. The city is made of gold and marble. They have paved streets and high castles filled with those of noble blood and of treatures beyond counting. The only city worth more in gold and jewels is perhaps the kingdom of the dragons. The largest castle at its center is the home of the King, Lithan and his Queen, Alia'vyn.
4. City of Seldari, the second largest city of Bein'lä settled to the southwestern side of the province. There is a large port attaching to the shoer, the only place on the island that comes to a shore and not to a cliffed edge. This city is more rural in that there is much fishing and exporting to the other cities in Bein'lä
5. City of Erevan, the northernmost city of Bein'lä just east to the Faetolor Mountains. This city is filled with many weavers and enchanters and those who do the most export from the island to other regions. The sity itself is plain and lacks any large castles but is grand yet compared to the humble livings of many more rustic races.
6. City of Ilesere, the southmost city of Bein'lä. Ilesere is nothing short of beautiful. While the heart of Bein'lä remains the city of Varlona, the elegance and decadance of Bein'lä lies in the city of Ilesere. The houses there are of the finest quality and most divine of probably all Terrastra. Some houses are even encrusted with gems and jewels.
7. Ports of Seldari, the port attached to the city of Seldari. The port is home to a small fleet of sailing, fishing and soldier ships. Fishing is one of the most important aspects of Bein'lä as more Eldar eat fish than any other meat within their boundries.
8. Great Lake of Triste (aka Lilac Lake), the large freshwater lake next to the city of Seldari to the south. The lake is full of warm water and freshwater fish and connects to the Triste river to the north. The lake is more commonly known as "Lilac Lake" due to the numerous lilacs that grown along its western shores.
9. Faetolor Mountains, a vast number of smaller moutains resting to the very high north of the island. They are the only mountains in Terrastra known for sure to have no nests of Reaper Spiders. In addition they host many blue phoenixes and are one of the only mountain ranges that do.
10. Triste River, a wide fresh water river leading from the up north mountains of Faetolor down to the Great Lake of Triste.
11. Taros Forest, is the main forest surrounding the territory's heart. Taros is a thick, dryish forest full of tall trees and many animals.
Guard Towers, many stationed places surrounding the borders of the land. The guard towers are large outlooks with barracks that host no less than 120 Eldar at each post.
