Felwyn, Territory of the Humans
Felwyn is a large territory to the sourtheast of Terrastra's main continent. The land is rich and full of life with bustling towns and cities and a good import/export. Outwardly, the land is a model region; working fluidly and well from its top officials all the way down to its slaves. But Felwyn was settled by men of great greed, desire and ambition with no love of the world or its gods. It's not proper to call one place evil or good but it is sure that the nature the people who live in Felwyn are far darker ones than those of other places in the world.
But aside its people, the land is lush and green, its rivers full of fish and its large lake full of Felwyn's best export; squid thus the name Squid Lake. The kindgom of Felwyn is settled almost center of the region and is vast with heavy stone built castles and structures and many smaller wooden homes. To the west of Felwyn lies a fast moving river and just beyond that the great Dragon wall, Hailwan Wall that marks the end of Felwyn's Territory and the beginning of Draconia.
The climate is generally warm and rainy in the spring and fall with mild winters and hot summers though with the heavy grouping of rivers and outlets the land rarely grows dry or droughts. Felwyn has eight large cities within the region and three large ports.
1. Gingleth, the Kingdom of Felwyn. Gingleth has miles of castles and massive mansion structures filled with Felwyn's nobles and high class and surrounding the stone center is more miles of wooden homes and houses where the middle and lower classes live. The castle at the very heart of the city is called Felwyn Castle and is where the Overlord lives with his family and court. All ruling and decisions start from Gingleth and as such there is more diplomatic sessions here than any other city in the region. The main road passes through the city from north to south.
2. Angrim, northwestern city of Felwyn sitting in a valley between two mountain ranges right at the border of Felwyn and Luin. The city is more a guard town, settled up to protect the land from demons that could enter Felwyn from their touching borders. The men here are some of the most hot tempered and most ruthless warriors in Terrastra who take no mercy on those of ogre or demon decent. The true heart of Felwyn's beliefs shows in these men. There is a small housing and farming area to the south of the town where most the men live when they are not patrolling. However, it is not uncommon to see other races here such as elves, barbarians or even dwarves.
3. Ibun, northern city of Felwyn sitting just southeast of the northern mountain range and southwest of a heavily treed area. Ibun is the second largest city in Felwyn and by far the most sinful and poorest. The most corrupt live here and very little law rules the land. It is fear that runs the peoples' hearts. Most known in Ibun is its massive slave market where people of all races are sold to the highest bidder. Also notably, the city is full of gamblers, prostitutes and other shady people.
4. Eastport, most northern port to the east of Felwyn. Eastport is well off money-wise and though is a relatively small town comparing to the other large towns of Felwyn. The port is mainly used for fishing and for northern travel via boats. Eastport has the largest shipping market of fish to the rest of the region.
5. Nogrot City, the most rich and expensive city in all of Felwyn. Nogrot lies south of Eastport, north of Ragrin Port and east of Squid Lake. The homes there are all large mansions and estates and each family owns no less than 4 slaves per household. The main export and source of their wealth comes from the majestic horses they raise in and around this city. No other city in Felwyn raises horses like those found in Nogrot. Their best horse is named after the city, the Nogrot Steed.
6. Ragrin Port, located to the southeast corner of Felwyn, below Nogrot. Ragrin Port brings in fish and other sealife for selling and market but Ragrin is mainly used for recreation. It's common to come down to Ragrin Port for a day of smooth sailing. It's not uncommon to see Ashtel or Mi'firel here as they use this port to dock onto land. Many small market shops are set up along the coast with Mi'firel selling their exotic fish to buyers.
7. Squid Town, south of the Squid Lake. Squid Town is full of traveling merchants specializing in selling the freshwater squids caught in Squid Lake. The more serious merchants caught numerous squid and keep them in water sacks for travel. A squid can survive up to four weeks with care on the road making it possible for Felwyn Merchants to bring fresh squid all over the mainland.
8. Southport, very southmost point of Felwyn. Southport does very little for import or export but settles more into making boats and ships. Felwyn's southern borders are protected here as well as the humans wish to keep out the dragons who may come from the sea, gnomes who they believe are thieves or any pirates who will sometimes try to smuggle into the region.
9. Squid Lake, a massive lake in the southern half of Felwyn known for its two breeds of freshwater squid, Blotch and Grey, thus the name. Some even say the lake resembles a squid. Bass is also common in the lake.
10. Squid River, the north to south running river attached to Squid Lake.
11. Feldor River, is the river that branches away from the north to south flowing Squid River. Feldor travels west across Felwyn then turns south, leading down until it meets the sea. The Feldor River was the original line dividing Felwyn with Draconia.
12. Luin Mountains, the tail-end mountains from Luin. These mountains are dry and tall like those in Luin itself but begin to green and flourish with life deeper into Felwyn's lands.
13. Draca Forest, is a dense forest in which the Feldor river flows through. Draca Forest was once a much larger forest but was cut in half by the Hailwan wall of Draconia when built many years back. Many strange and dangerous creatures dwell in these wet, thick forests.
14. Hailwan Wall, is the wall that borders the eastern edges of Felwyn. The wall, standing fifty feet high and approximately 7 feet thick, was built by the dragons long ago to keep out unwanted visitors.
